Castleberry High School Junior Parents,
Your junior will take the SAT on Wednesday, April 5^th. This opportunity is free to all our 11^th graders. Why is taking the SAT important for your student?

•         Most colleges require an SAT score;
•         Some scholarships are based off of SAT scores;
•         Taking the SAT a student’s junior year will give them feedback on the areas they need to work   on when they take it again their senior year;
•         We are giving this opportunity at no cost to your student. The average cost of the exam if your   student went to take it on their own is $43.00.

How is CHS preparing your student to be successful on the SAT? Your student has been working on a program called Khan Academy (https://www.khanacademy.org/) for the last 6 weeks in preparation for this exam. Leading up to the exam, your student can continue to work on Khan Academy to better prepare themselves. We hope you will encourage your student to do their absolute best on this exam next week.

Su hijo/hija de 11 grado tomara el SAT el miercoles 5 de Abril. Esta oportunidad es gratis para todos nuestros estudiantes de 11 grado. Por que tomar el SAT es importante para su estudiante?

1) La mayoria de los colegios requieren un grado de SAT.
2) Algunas becas se basan en los puntajes de SAT.
3) Tomar el SAT en el 11 grado les dara informacion sobre las areas que necesitan para trabajar en cuando lo tomen de nuevo su ultimo ano.
4) Estamos dando esta oportunidad sin costo alguno para usted o su estudiante. El costo promedio del examen si su estudiante va a tomarlo por su cuenta es $43.00.

Como esta preparando CHS a su estudiante para tener exito en el SAT? Su estudiante ha estado trabajando en un programa llamado Khan Academy(https://www.khanacademy.org/) durante las ultimas 6 semanas en preparacion para este examen. Castleberry High School Parents,

Beginning Tuesday, October 4^th through Friday, October 7th, 2016, Castleberry High School will implement extra safety measures on our campus due to recent social media postings concerning north Texas schools.  During school hours, the following safety measures will be in place:

1)      The front door of the school will be locked, and parents will need to call 817-252-2100 (the front office) to verify identity.  Once verified, one of the office staff members will open the door.

2)     During school hours, no parents will be allowed past the front office or foyer area.

We apologize about the inconvenience this may cause; however, we take the safety and security of students very seriously. Thank you for your cooperation throughout the week.
